Gerald Wright (NYICE) Passes Away

Gerald Wright, long-time youth basketball official and founder/owner of NYICE Apparel, recently passed away after a long bout with cancer.  Many of you may remember him marketing his athletic wear at local basketball events or officiating games.  He was always upbeat, positive and had a great and infectious smile.  He was a personal friend and a friend of youth sports in general.  He will be missed.

When we get information regarding funeral services, we will post it on this site.

WWPBA Spring League Championship Tournament
What a great tournament weekend!  There were many, many exciting games and the kids all played their hearts out.  22 of the 64 games were decided by 5 or less points and there were several overtime games.  Four of the championship games and four of the third place games were among the games won by 5 points or less.  Congratulations to not only the winners, but to all who gave their very best efforts.

Here is a table showing the top three finishers in each division.  You can go to the "Championship Tournament Results"  page to see the results for all games by division.

Thanks to all teams that participated this spring.  The progress that the players exhibited through the season was very noticeable.  Hope to see all of the teams back this fall.
