Fall League Championship Tournament
5th Grade
Alexis scored 10 points for the 5th Grade Wolfpack in their semi-final game
against the ECBA Wildcats and then tossed in 7 in the championship game against
the LW Force as her squad prevailed 15 - 10. Tevonnia scored 19 to lead
the Wildcats as they won the third place game against the Wolfpack 4th
grade 26 - 14.
6th Grade
In the 6th Grade championship game, Triple Threat's Natalie scored 10 of her
game-high 17 points in the second period. Her teammates Carly and Caitlyn
each tossed in 12 to help secure their victory over the Lady Blues 6th grade
squad 54 - 34. Randi and Grace scored 9 and 8 points respectively for the
Lady Blues 6th.
In the game for 3rd place, Inglemoor led the LW Force from start to finish. Their balanced scoring attack was led by Sage who tossed in 10. The Lady Blues 5th grade squad finished the 5th grade division's regular season undefeated and opted to play up in the 6th grade division for the tournament. Although they lost both of their tournament games, they competed hard and should be proud of their overall season.
7th Grade Silver
The 7th Grade Silver championship game was tight from start to finish.
Inglemoor led Rotary Lady Style by 2 at the half, 20 - 18. Going into the
final period, they led 33 - 29 and they won by that same 4-point margin 41-37.
Pam led the Inglemoor scorers with 16. Teammate Kelly C. added 9.
Rotary's Myah led all scorers with 22.
ECBA Swish White beat the Wolfpack 48 - 33 to take 3rd place. Carli hit 13 points to lead the Swish and Margo added 10. Ashley was the Wolfpack's leading scorer with 13.
7th Grade Gold
ECBA Swish Black was a dominate force in the 7th Grade Gold Division. They
showed their strength by beating the Lake Washington Force 59 - 29 in the
championship game. To the Force's' credit, they fought hard throughout the
contest and never gave up. Kelly tossed in 22 to lead the Swish attack.
Teammate Mary Ann added 12. Marikah scored 11 for the Force.
The AR Hornets took 3rd place by beating the Blaze 41 - 32. Kaysha tallied 10 points for the Hornets and Emily added 8. Meredith paced the Blaze scorers with 12.
8th Grade Silver
Inglemoor jumped out to a 13 - 4 first quarter lead, but the PFD Pressure squad
responded and won the championship game going away 46 - 19. Meesha led the
Pressure scorers with 14. Lauren scored 7 to lead the Inglemoor scorers.
The Wolfpack forfeited their 3rd place game to TCBA.
8th Grade Gold
The Lady Blues beat the AR Hornets 38 - 29 in the 8th Grade Gold championship
contest. The game was very close through the first three periods.
The 4th quarter began with the Lady Blues leading by one point - 26 - 25.
In those final 8 minutes, the Lady Blues limited the Hornets to just three free
throws during a 12 to 3 run to end the game. Olivia and Arsenia each
scored 10 for the Lady Blues. Nyzhe and Kaysha led the Hornets with 7
apiece.
The Rattlesnakes bounced back from their semi-final loss to the Hornets and took 3rd place by beating the Lake Washington Force, 51 - 33. Janie led the way for the Rattlesnakes by tossing in a game-high 20 points. Kat tallied 14 for the Force.
High School Silver "A"
The Rain has established itself as one of the best 8th grade teams around,
however the Lions proved to be a bit more than they could handle. The
Lions took the championship 60 - 36. The Rain led 11 - 8 after the first
quarter, but the Lions hit five three-pointers in the second period and began to
pull away. Molly led the Lions with 14 and Katrina and Kyra added 11 each.
Renee led Rain scorers with 15and teammate Mokun added 13.
In the 3rd place game, Mt. Si jumped out to an 18 - 7 first quarter lead. They still led the Lady Style 24 - 14 at the half. But in the 3rd period, the Lady Style went on a 22 - 4 run that included four three-pointers. The Lady Style carried that momentum into the final period and won the contest 49 - 37.
High School Silver "B"
The ECBA Legends started off hot in their championship game against EBI.
They hit three three-pointers in the first quarter during an 18 to 1 run.
EBI battled hard over the next three periods - playing ECBA evenly - but the
first period deficit was too much to make up. ECBA won 48 - 35.
Meghan led ECBA with 14; teammate Heidi joined her in double-figures with 10.
Jorey led EBI scorers with 11 and Hailey chipped in with 10.
Redmond topped Juanita 49 - 35 for 3rd place. Redmond took a 13 - 6 lead and slowly increased their lead over the remainder of the contest. Redmond had two double-figure scores: Jordyn had 12 and Stacey hit 11. Juanita also had a couple of players in double-figures. Aimee scored 13 and Christine added 10.
High School Silver "C"
Kings continued to improve throughout the season and played its best basketball
of the fall season during the tournament. The won the championship
defeating the Kent Ladyhawks 51-27. Kelly led the Kings' attack with 16.
Teammate Mackenzie hit three three-pointers and scored 15 points. Jordan
hit three treys for the Ladyhawks and wound up with 11.
The 3rd place game was very exciting. Inglemoor jumped out to a 15 - 4 lead in the first period. Lynnwood's Leigh Ann scored 11 of her game-high 19 points in the second quarter as they came storming back. Lynnwood pulled to with one point - 39 to 40 to begin the final period. Then Inglemoor's Mackenzie hit 6 of her team-high 14 points as her team pulled away for the final 56 - 51 margin. Inglemoor's Taylor and Jessie added 13 and 12 points respectively. Ashley was Lynwood's second leading scorer with 12.
High School Gold
There were many great games in this division's championship competition.
Two of the most closely contested games came in the semi-finals. Cleveland
got by WTA in one semi-final 50 - 49 and the NW Heat squad made a fantastic
comeback to overtake Savage 72 - 69 in the other semi-final. In the
championship game, NW Heat led from start to finish and won 66 to 47. Heat
scoring was very balanced: their top 5 scorers hit 11, 10, 10, 9 and 9 points.
In the 3rd place game, Savage went up 22 - 9 in the first quarter and never looked back en route to a 77 - 43 victory over WTA. Erin led Savage scorers with 16 and Natlie added 12 on four three-pointers. Michelle also tallied 12 for Savage. Sascha led WTA with 12 points.
